Actor Aamir Khan's decision to stick to his support to NBA on Sardar Sarovar dam issue on Thursday triggered angry reaction in Vadodara as youth burnt the posters of his forthcoming film Fanaa.

The youth demonstrating under the banner of little-known group Sardar Sena, gathered below the statute of Sardar Vallabhai Patel at Sayajigunj locality and burnt posters of the actor.

One of the agitators said "the youth and people of Gujarat will not allow the screening of Aamir Khan's movie till he apologises for his remarks on the ambitious and multi-purpose Sardar Sarovar Project on river Narmada."

"Without understanding the sentiments of the people of Gujarat on the issue, Aamir has made anti-dam statements," he added.

The protestors said Aamir should not make the whole matter a prestige issue and should promptly apologise to the people of the state.
