For all the avid cricket fans and the young ladies smitten by cricketer Yuvraj Singh's charms, there is a good news. The dude is now all geared to make his debut in Bollywood.
The macho man has decided to take off his career with veteran Prakash Jha's flick 'Love Story', which is an Entertainment One production.
Seems like the young man is really serious to avenge ex-flame Kim Sharma by entering her territory.
If you are thinking that this is what the actor aspires to do, think again. For he has definite talents in not just cricket but also writing, composing music, and playing guitar. For the less informed, he was the lead guitarist for the Music Society in St. Stephen's College.
Yuvraj performs with the electrical, acoustic and Spanish guitars. Ballads, fusion, metal and heavy strumming are his preferences.
Joe Satriani, Marty Friedman, Steve Vai, Jimmy Page and Pink Floyd are among few artists that he admires. Yuvraj also likes Led Zeppllin, Ozzy Osburne, AXL Rose, Robert Plant and Sting.
Alongside completing his higher studies in the UK, he trained himself as an actor and presenter in a renowned acting school.
Very few people know that the cricketer has met several directors and producers, before Prakash Jha zeroed in on him to hone his acting talents.
"I want to do roles that are symbolic of social, cultural, political, economic and historical significance. The role should have an impact and be meaningful to the society," Yuvraj Singh said.
Yuvraj says he wants to perform different roles during his acting career, and would not like to be branded in a particular milieu. Well, already speaking cinema lingo. Isn't that amazing.
Yuvraj strongly believes in destiny, and is quite philosophical about what life will eventually dish out for him.
"I have to create a mark in the world of cinema," he says. We are also waiting for it Yuvi!
