Yuvraj strikes at paparazzi

india Updated: Oct 30, 2006 14:06 IST

Stylish middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh, who is out of the ICC Champions Trophy following an injury on Saturday, certainly needs a lesson or two in humility and good manners in public.

The southpaw, who has not been handling the ball too well recently on the field was seen manhandling a photojournalist in Chandigarh, 10 km from here, as he came out of an MRI centre after a test for his knee injury.

As Yuvi, as he is known in his home city, came out of the MRI centre, the photojournalist on assignment started clicking his pictures. This infuriated Yuvraj who snatched his camera and threatened him not to take pictures. A flared up Yuvraj asked him: "Who has allowed you to take pictures?"

The explanation by the photographer that he was only doing his duty fell on deaf ears and he was allegedly manhandled.
