Indian students represent the second largest group of international students numbering over 50,000 currently pursuing higher education in the UK, British Council officials said here today.

"The number is growing at the rate of 13 per cent each year," they said. Speaking at the two-day 'UK Education Exhibition 2010: Creating New Futures' from November 16, the officials said that 45 UK institutions would be participating in the event, in which 1,500 students were expected to attend. The Education UK exhibition will travel to six cities in India and with more than 180 representatives of 80 UK institutions.
