Singer Shaan, who was in Indore on Thursday to perform at Global Investors Summit 2014, said it was a great honour for him to sing live before several delegates from various countries.

"We usually sing for music lovers and fans but this was a different experience altogether," Shaan told Hindustan Times during his visit to Indore to present the Madhya Pradesh state title song which has been originally sung by him.

Praising Madhya Pradesh's hospitality, he said, "I am a big fan of Shivraj (Singh Chouhan) ji as he has been one of the key people behind the development of the state. I was impressed by the way he (Shivraj Singh Chouhan) spoke and mentioned the opportunities that the state has to offer. Anyone who attended the summit would surely look forward to invest in the state."

Talking about Global Investors Summit, he said, "Honestly, I am an outsider to the set up. The kind of support and the sort of red carpet welcome that the Madhya Pradesh government has put up for investors is amazing. There is no reason why someone wouldn't want to invest in MP unless it's someone like me who doesn't have a plan or an idea as I am a non-business person."

Shaan further said that he was impressed by the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives personal attention to people. "The hospitality was absolutely fantastic and one of the best I have received at a function of this kind," he said.
