The superintendent of Pandit Rajguru Ashram at Antarveliya village in Jhabua district, Ayendra Kumar, was arrested for molesting a minor girl staying in the ashram on Saturday. The ashram is for orphans and abondoned children.

Police said the girl, a resident of Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, had been rescued by Meghanagar RPF police on July 21 this year and was sent to the ashram run by the accused.

On October 30 the girl went missing and an FIR was registered against an unidentified person for kidnapping. But four days later the girl appeared before the child welfare officer and said the accused had been molesting her and threatening her. Thereafter she fled the ashram just to save herself. She alleged there are many other girls in the ashram like her.
