Bad luck continues to stalk city superintendent of police (CSP) Neeraj Chourasia. On Friday, the Institute of Management Studies (IMS) officials did not allow him to sit for his MBA examination after the officer reached the venue 33 minutes late.
Chourasia was supposed to report to the exam hall by 2 pm, but he reached there at 2.33 pm instead. Examinees appearing for the executive MBA course are allowed a grace period of 30 minutes, but even then the officer was late by three minutes.
The officer is in news after he was allegedly caught cheating during the exam on Wednesday. A case has been registered against him by DAVV university. Juni Indore CSP Shashikant Kankane, who is also in the news for allegedly manhandling a university employee on Wednesday, arrived 22 minutes late.
But as he was within the grace period, he was allowed to sit for the exam. On Friday, Chourasia entered the campus in civil uniform (Khaki trousers, dark purple shirt and a black jacket) and tried to avoid photographers who were waiting for him since 2pm. He went straight to Niranjan Shrivastava, the in-charge of the MBA executive course at IMS, and sought permission from him to appear in the exam.
However, Shrivastava, did not allow him to enter the hall, citing the rules. On his way back, the officer shot back at the shutterbugs saying, “Tumhe kya maza aa raha hai” (Are you enjoying it)?. After going outside the campus, Chourasia once again encountered a photographer and said “Tum sirf ek hi ke piche pade raho” (You keep following only one person).
