Indore girl Mahak Jain is set to play in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) future star tournament, which is to be held in Singapore between October 20 and 26.
Jain had earlier won the HSBC Road to Wimbledon 2015 for the girls’ under-14 title, which was followed by her first ITF junior under 18 grade 4 tennis tournament in Hyderabad.
The WTA future stars event will showcase the under-14 and under-16 singles tournaments, produced in association with Sports Singapore and Singapore Tennis Association and will feature the top-ranked junior female players in the Asia-Pacific (APAC).
The WTA future stars program aims to change the lives of girls through tennis by inspiring and encouraging young players to play the sport and partake in local community service activities.
The competition will be a single elimination with consolation format, with the finals being played on the Centre Court at the Singapore Indoor stadium.
