The largest government hospital of central India, MY Hospital, has started with its renovation works. From civil construction to making the hospital rodent free, the hospital authorities are going all out to refurbish the hospital.

This was revealed at a press conference was held by the divisional commissioner Sanjay Dubey on the hospital premises on Monday. While a detailed plan for the makeover of the hospital was discussed by the commissioner which included procuring surgical equipment and fixing some civic issues will be carried out, some extra attractions would also be added to the hospital.

"We don't want to compare ourselves with government hospitals. The competition would be between private hospitals and the level of services we are providing," said Sanjay Dubey, divisional commissioner.

The new plan proposes the installment of music system in the hospital along with the up-gradation of private wards. According to the planning the music system would be used for making announcements during emergencies and for other purposes would play light soulful music for patients.

"We will chalk out the exact details of what all functions the system would play. But, till now it would be used in the morning to play some devotional songs, while throughout the day it would play some light songs so that the patient also doesn't get bored," said Dubey.

The presence of a refrigerator, a television set and Geyser would also be put up in the private ward. However, the cost of the room would be slightly hiked to ensure that maintenance of the room is ensured.

Slated to continue till December 3, the mission titled 'Kayakalp-II' will address all the civil, medical issues of the hospital. Attempts are being made to give a makeover to the hospital.
