Four molestation cases reported in Indore, cops begin probe

Four cases of molestation, eve teasing and threatening were reported in Indore on Tuesday evening. Police have launched investigation after registering the cases. The first incident took place at North Toda area of the city on Monday afternoon.

As per the Central Kotwali police, a minor girl lodged a complaint against two persons Saurabh and Sunny. She said they forcibly trapped her in a room and molested her. The girl raised alarm after which some neighbours gathered and the accused fled away. Police have registered a case and begun investigation.

In the second incident, a married woman was molested by a person at Ganesh Dham area on Monday evening. As per the police, when the woman was bathing, the accused identified as Kantilal Kumwat forcibly entered into the bathroom and molested her.

As soon as the woman raised alarm, the accused fled. The accused also threatened the victim of dire consequences. The third incident took place in Kalp Kamdehnu Nagar under Vijay Nagar police station when a woman reached the police station and alleged that a local goon had threatened her younger daughter of dire consequences.

As per the woman's statement, a local goon, identified as Arvind Kinare used to tease her elder daughter due to which she had sent her daughter to her brother's place.

On Monday evening Kinare stopped her younger daughter and threatened her if her elder sister were not called again. Police have registered a case and started investigation.

In the last case, a girl was molested by youths on Monday evening in Chhatripura area. When the girl's mother resisted, the accused threatened her on gunpoint and fled. Police are investigating.
