Iliyas Qureshi admits to selling papers to at least 7 Indore candidates

Iliyas Qureshi, who is an accused in Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) paper leak case, has told interrogators that he had sold the question papers of MPPSC 2012 mains exam to at least seven candidates, who hailed from Indore region.
The money collected from the candidates was handed over to Akhilesh Pandey and Brijendra Gupta, who are also accused in the case. Both Pandey and Gupta had visited Indore two days before the MPPSC main exam that was conducted on October 1, 2013. They had also come after the main exams to collect the money.
Qureshi has also revealed some important information which the STF is verifying. The candidates, who were allegedly provided question papers by him, would also be quizzed soon, said an STF official. Meanwhile, Qureshi, who was in STF custody till Tuesday, was produced before the court and sent to jail on judicial custody till August 29.
Qureshi was earlier arrested in connection with Ayurvedic Medical Officer (AMO) recruitmentfs question paper leak. On July 30, he was arrested afresh by the STF in MPPSC question paper leak case. Earlier, Iliyas had told the interrogators that the question papers of prelims exam of MPPSC were also leaked.
