There has been a flurry of actors from Indore who have found a break in the entertainment world, be it television, cinema or the music world. But none of them have been as lucky lately as Kshitij Singh Pawar.

The Indore-based theatre artiste has bagged a role alongside superstar Salman Khan in director Sooraj Barjatya's next flick, 'Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo', which is scheduled to release in the second half of the coming year.

Kshitij was previously seen in the film 'Youngistan' which was released earlier this year. After appearing in the audition for Barjatya's upcoming project, Kshitij was lucky to get selected. "When I first got a call from the casting director, I didn't believe him", he says.

"I didn't respond as I thought someone was playing a prank with me. It was only when he called me again and asked me to pay a visit that I realised it was true. Sooraj ji (Barjatya) wanted to meet me and when I met him he was happy to know that I belonged to Indore," said Kshitij.

Kshitij plays the role of Salman Khan's friend in the film and has taken part in the first schedule of the film which lasted for 15 days. The film also stars Sonam Kapoor, Sanjay Mishra, Deepak Dobriyal, among other ensemble cast.

Kshitij has also featured in one of the episodes of the popular show Comedy Nights with Kapil and considers that his Indore accent has helped him a lot in getting roles. "Even my co-actors were surprised to know that I got a role in a big banner project so early in my career."
