Eight days after the murder of Devendra Khandelwal, an advocate, his body was brought to Indore and another post-mortem was performed on it at MY Hospital on Thursday.
The first post-mortem was conducted by Khargone police after the body was found in Karahi village. According to police, the second post-mortem was conducted to know more about the injuries of the deceased.
"According to the request of the family members of the deceased, the post-mortem was conducted again by Indore police. The attempt was to find out more about the nature of injuries on the body," said superintendent of police (East) OP Tripathy.
Meanwhile, police have nabbed the last absconding accused Mahendra on Thursday. "We have arrested all the five accused in the case," the SP added. The charred body of Khandewal, who went missing on December 22, was found in forests, near Karahi village, in Khargone.
It was found that Khandelwal was murdered owing to a property dispute over land worth Rs 1.6 crore with Lal Chand Hardia. "More investigation into the case is being carried out by Central Kotwali police," said the Tripathy told HT.
