The city will be decked up for the three-day Global Investors’ Summit - 2014, which will be inaugurated on October 8.
The main streets, public places, important buildings will be lighted up to add to the festive spirit.
Principal secretary to the chief minister and publicity commissioner SK Mishra, along with collector Akash Tripathi, toured the entire Brilliant convention centre where the three-day event would be held and directed officials that all works should be completed by October 2.
Mishra said that the arrangements should be such that no guest who comes to attend the investor summit is inconvenienced in any manner.
Earlier collector Tripathi inspected the arrangements at the airport, and checked the proposed arrangements at the help desk that is being set up there.
Apart from giving basic information about the city and investor summit, information would also be provided to the guests about the places of tourist interest in and around Indore.
Mishra also saw the under-construction road at Super Corridor, Bijasan Mata temple. He inspected the ongoing work of the railway over-bridge at super corridor and directed a sign of ‘work in progress’ should be put up and also said that there should be adequate lighting in the adjoining service road. Senior police and administrative officials were present along with the collector during his inspection.
