MP: 4 die, 2 injured as SUV falls into Narmada

The SUV was taken out from river Narmada on Wednesday morning.

Four people, including a two-year-old girl, died when an SUV fell into Narmada River at Badwah in MP at the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

The deceased, all of them residents of Mandav area of Dhar district, include Mukesh Dabar, 33, Anita Dabar, 17, Panchubai, 40 and Vaishali, 2.

Two others who survived the accident are admitted at the Khargone district hospital.

The deceased were going to take a holy bath in Narmada at Omkareswar on the occasion of Kartik Poornima. Police said they have registered a case under section 174 Cr PC and are investigating the case.

As per information, six people including the driver were travelling on the SUV and reached Badwah bridge when the driver lost control and the vehicle fell into the river after breaking the railing of the bridge.

Bodies of the deceased were fished out of the river on Wednesday.
