MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Sunday that Indore would be developed into a global city and there would be no shortage of funds for development.
He made these remarks during his second road show in the city held to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates for the ensuing civic elections. Chouhan toured assembly constituencies I, III and Rau.
BJP’s mayoral candidate Malini Gaud, sitting MLAs Sudharshan Gupta and Usha Thakur and other BJP leaders also participated in the show.
Chouhan sought the people’s blessings and said, “Indore will be developed into a global city and there will be no crunch of resources for development.”
The chief minister also went to some wedding ceremonies at Malharganj to bless the newlywed couples and moved ahead.
His cavalcade stopped at many places to meet the children who were standing on both sides of the road and blessed them.
Chouhan said, “There are several things that only local corporators can do and he cannot.”
During his earlier visit to the city on Friday, Chouhan toured assembly constituencies II, IV and V and urged the people to vote for the BJP candidates in civic polls on January 31.
