In a first for the district, two persons, accused of selling adulterated ghee, have been booked under the draconian National Security Act.

The father-and-son duo, Dinesh Kumar Sahu and Chetan, residents of Banganga Main road, were owners of the factory that supplied the adulterated ghee. While Dinesh has been sent to Central Jail Rewa, Chetan has been sent to Satna jail.

The district administration had inspected the factory on October 2, 2014 and the team had found large quantity of adulterated ghee. In all, 10 samples were sent and all of them were found to be adulterated.

This is not the first time that Dinesh Sahu had been caught selling adulterated ghee. In fact, he has 14 other cases against him for selling adulterated ghee, which are going on in various courts. There are also similar cases against Chetan Sahu.
