The CBI court ruled on Thursday that the belongings of Shehla Masood will be returned to the Masood’s family as the investigation is complete.
The court further said that excluding the necklace which was seized from the murder spot everything should be returned to the family.
The belongings of Masood include CDs and pen drives, etc, which were confiscated after her killing.
A Santro car in which she was found murdered was also confiscated by the CBI.
This was the same car in which a ring was found after it was kept for 15 days in the Koh-e-Fiza police station. It was apparently the cause of suspension of the Koh-e-Fiza TI for being careless in the matter.
The sensational murder took place on August 16, 2011 in front of Masood’s house in the posh Kohe-E-Fiza locality. She was shot dead while entering her car to leave for an anti-corruption rally which was being organised here as part of Anna Hazare’s movement.
Following this a case was registered and the CBI took over the probe on September 3, 2011.
Meanwhile, the CBI Court extended the date of recording statement of Irfan, the accused of Shehla Masood case, after he urged that he is not in condition to record statement under section 164 of CrPC on Thursday. The next hearing of the case is scheduled on October 30 and 31.
