MP: Team Chouhan woos potential investors for global investors’ meet

The CM and his team were in Bengaluru on Wednesday and held discussions with prominent names in industrial sector like IBM’s chief executive officer Amit Sharma, Nettur Technical Training Foundation NTTF’s managing director N Reghuraj, Gokak Textiles Ltd’s executive director HS Bhaskar and head of the delegation of Infosys Ltd Rohan Parikh, said a statement from the state government.

Setting up of smart cities in Madhya Pradesh and particularly one between Bhopal and Indore was prominently discussed. The CM said that Indian values, circumstances and special features and necessities of the state will be taken into account while building up Smart Cities.

Minister for industries Yashodhara Raje Scindia, chief secretary Anthony de Sa, principal secretary of industries Mohammad Sulaiman, Secretary IT Hari Ranjan Rao, managing director of TRIFAC Deepak Ahuja,, managing director of MP State Electronics Development Corporation M Selvendran accompanied .

IBM officials discussed about possibility of starting state-of-the-art IT enabled services and facilities in cities of Madhya Pradeh. The CM urged IBM to make presentation on smart cities’ concept during the upcoming meet.

During discussions with Nettur Technical Training Foundation Chouhan said that it is top priority of the state government to make new generation skilful and employable. The CM told the Infosys officials that all permissions and approvals required to roll out the project in Indore Ujjain super corridor would be issued by first week of September.

Gokak Textiles Unit officials discussed possibilities on setting up small hydel project apart from textile mills.

Later in day, chairman of Manipal Group Sudhakar Pai spoke about expansion plan of the group and informed that Madhya Pradesh has been given priority considering the investment friendly policies and atmosphere

Others who met the CM were representatives of RV College of Engineering, Rural Shores, ARM India, Surin Automotive and Biocon.
