A 14-year-old girl from Ratlam who had escaped from home was allegedly raped by three people at different places, including a railway commercial inspector in Ratlam.

The incident came to light after a GRP jawan posted at Ratlam railway station spotted her wandering around and offered her help on January 10 and handed her over to the local police.

Acting on the basis of her statement, Industrial area police arrested all three accused identified as Jitendra Jatt (19), Ankush Patidar (19), both residents of Komal Nagar and Babbar (31), resident of Abkari square, Ratlam and produced them in a local court from where they were sent to jail on Tuesday. Police registered a case against the trio under Section 363 (kidnapping) and 376 (rape) of Indian Penal and 5/6 Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

Industrial area police station in-charge Ajay Sarwan said when the police asked the girl where she was for two days after she escaped from her house, she gave shocking details. She told the police how she was raped several times by different people at different places in the town.

The girl, who is the daughter of a policeman, left home on January 8 without any reason. After she left home, accused Jitendra Jatt (19) saw her in the market area. He took her at his Komal Nagar situated room and outraged her modesty. Later, he left the girl in the market. On the next day, Ankush Patidar (19) saw the girl on a footpath. Taking advantage of her condition, he took her along with him at his room and sexually assaulted her.

After raping her, he left the girl at Ratlam railway station. Later, Babbar (31), a railway commercial inspector, took her to his Abkari square-situated house and raped her. Babbar left her stranded at the railway station. Some GRP jawans spotted the girl and handed her over to the local police station.
