Three techies from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) have developed online portal that enables people to shop for grocery, fruits and vegetables online.

Speaking to HT, three computer engineers passed out students from SGSITS Vaibhav Malve, Sachin Tantuve and Anshin Paliwal claim the trend of logging onto the internet to shop for fruits, vegetables and grocery has caught up in the city thanks to IT boom here.

Trio refused top MNCs' offer after completing their engineering and decided to open their own venture. They said, "With improving comfort with online payments, selling groceries online has become relatively easy nowadays."

"Caught in the city’s fast pace life, many consumers don't have the time to buy groceries and will turn out to be boon for them," Vaibhav said.

About available product line on their portal, Sachin said now they have about 2,000 products available. "Like most online portals, we source our produce from wholesale markets," he added.
