Cricket fans in Indore and around can rejoice as online sale of tickets for India-New Zealand October 8 Test match will be open from 1pm on Tuesday. The sale will close at 3pm on Thursday.

But, those wanting to purchase tickets from bank counters must wait as sales for east and west stands (upper and lower tier) would start a few days before the match with a specific quota per day.

Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association secretary Milind Khanmadikar told Hindustan Times the online ticket would be available on the site www.ticketgenie.in and a maximum of four tickets can be booked (for one or multiple categories of tickets) per attempt.

“The association will release around 8,500 tickets for online sale and nearly same will be available for offline mode,” Khanmadikar said.

The MPCA said people buying tickets online need to collect their tickets from counters by producing required documents.

“Pavilion tickets and women’s block tickets will be available online only. If any tickets remain unsold, then they would be sold through counters,” said the MPCA secretary.

He said the tickets for students and block for specially abled would be available at counters only.

Tickets for specially abled spectators will be available against production of a photocopy of mandatory government certificate.
