Local sportspersons and organisationa lodged a protest against the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) move to open one more zonal office at the Nehru Stadium, which is house of about 18 sports activities.
The players called on the IMC officials and conveyed to them that opening another office in the stadium would hamper sports activities and lead to outside interference.
The corporation already has one zonal office in the stadium and a couple of days back it has decided to open one more zonal office.
Vice-president of Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association Om Soni said the move would disrupt sports activities and was against the law as the court has ordered not to conduct any activities other than sports on the sports grounds.
It may be due to some lack of coordination or miscommunication, IMC officials took this decision," Soni said.
Organisation members met IMC general administration department in-charge Chandu Shinde and tabled their grievances.
When contacted, Shinde said, "We had a discussion on the problems as well as solution. All the problems of sports persons and organisation heads will be resolved soon as we all support development of sports in the city and without grounds it will not possible," Shinde added.
