23:42 hrs IST: That is all we have from here. What a performance from Kolkata Knight Riders. Royal Challengers Bangalore are at the bottom of the table while KKR are firmly in second.

23:40 hrs IST: Nathan Coulter-Nile is the Man of the Match: I was so pumped up, I wasn’t thinking about it. We’ve got some world-class spinners who didn’t even get a bowl today. The pitch suited us. So we just kept going and kept going

23:39 hrs IST: Gautam Gambhir: Not a lot of teams have the kind of pace that we have. We just want them to hit the deck and bowl quick and that’s what they did. We didn’t bat well at all. We should have got 160-170. If you’re looking to win the tournament, you can’t bat like that

23:34 hrs IST: Virat Kohli: Probably our worst batting performance, the worst I have been part of the team. Very hurtful for me to stand here and talk. I can’t say anything now, but our performance was unacceptable. Disgraceful batting, reckless from us, one of the worst collapses ever. The sightscreen was slightly short here, that led to my lapse in concentration, but I was the first to get out, there were nine others in the hut. It was a shocking batting performance.

Struggling to find their rhythm, the star-studded Kohli brigade have finally found their expression right with the familiar mayhem of Chris Gayle.

Reunited with Kohli at the opening spot, Gayle cantered to 77 off 38 balls, his first halfcentury in 17 matches and went on to become the only batsman to scale Mt 10,000 in the T20 format.

Gayle and Kohli put together 122 runs in 76 balls, in an ominous sign for the KKR camp as Gambhir have admitted to have been reeling under the effect.
