Coming on to bat after Kane Williamson was trapped leg-before by Daniel Christian in the 13th over, Henriques took no time to settle down as he picked up two consecutive boundaries off Shardul Thakur to start his knock on an attacking note. (LIVE SCORECARD)

He rotated the strike well with David Warner to keep the scoreboard ticking as the latter produced a rare slow knock of 43 off 40 deliveries. He welcomed pacer Jaydev Unadkat with a first-ball six after the second strategic time-out and unleashed himself after Warner departed in the same over.

He picked up consecutive boundaries off Unadkat and Shardul Thakur before sending the former for a gigantic six over mid-wicket in the 19th over. He reached his half-century in the final over of Sunriser Hyderabad’s innings with a glorious drive against Shardul Thakur before sending the next ball through point and short-third man to pick up another boundary.

The duo’s 47-run partnership off 21 balls was instrumental to their side going past the 150 run-mark; especially after the sluggish start provided by Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner.
