Mandeep Singh scored a composed 52-run knock, while Travis Head scored an unbeaten 75 to help revive Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) innings in their IPL 2017 match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Sunday. (LIVE UPDATES | SCORECARD)

Put into bat by KKR, RCB lost Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers early on, as they found themselves struggling at a score of 34/3.

However, Mandeep showed great maturity as he steadily built his innings, with Travis Head supporting him well from the other end.

He hit four fours and one six during his 43-ball 52. He was eventually dismissed by Sunil Narine when he let one fly towards deep backward square leg, only to be caught by Umesh Yadav.

Head, on the other hand, showed admirable calmness as he kept the scoreboard ticking for RCB. It was in the final over of the innings when he finally unleashed his fury on KKR.

He hit Umesh Yadav for two consecutive sixes and a four to help RCB end their innings at a competitive total of 158/6.

Head’s 75 not out came off 47 balls, with him three fours and five sixes during the knock.
