The final group stage match of the 2017 season of the Indian Premier League was played between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi on May 14.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match by 10 runs with Virat Kohli scoring 58 off 45 balls. He later received the award for being the top run-getter of the match, an award he handed to his fans while the post-match presentation was underway.

The gesture saw him win many hearts on social media. However, the India team captain was superseded by one other player in terms of mentions on Twitter — MS Dhoni.
