Rising Pune Supergiant were boosted by a couple of three-wicket hauls from Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur as they defeated Mumbai Indians by 20 runs to enter the final of IPL 2017. Parthiv Patel smashed his 10th fifty as Mumbai Indians made a fast start but Washington Sundar picked up three wickets in two overs to shred the middle order. Shardul Thakur also chipped in as RPS secured their third-straight win over MI in IPL 2017.

Earlier, Ajinkya Rahane and Manoj Tiwary slammed fifties and were well-backed up by MS Dhoni’s blazing 26-ball 40 to get the team to a great score. With this loss, Mumbai Indians will be awaiting the winner of the Eliminator between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2.
