Kings XI Punjab captain Murali Vijay won the toss and opted to field first in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Wednesday.

Vijay explained his decision, saying the Knight Riders chase well, so he’d like to put them under pressure.

Vijay’s Knight Riders counterpart Gautam Gambhir said his side was playing three spinners because the pitch looked dry. The Eden Gardens is known for being slow and assisting the spinners.
