Kings XI Punjab captain Murali Vijay won the toss and opted to bat first in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mohali on Sunday.

Vijay explained his decision, saying the wicket looked try and his side would look to get enough runs on the board and try to defend them.

Vijay’s Sunrisers counterpart David Warner said he would have bowled first anyway.
