11 killed, 15 injured in road accident near Jodhpur
At least 11 people were killed and 15 others sustained injuries when the truck they were travelling in collided head-on with anther truck coming from the opposite direction at Jhalamand Dangiyawas bypass, about 15 km from Jodhpur on Sunday.

According to police, the accident took place early in the morning when the truck, carrying around 55 passengers from Jaisalmer to Jaitaran area in Pali district, hit another truck.
The passengers, all residents of Jhalamand area of Jodhpur had left home at 4.30am to cast their votes for the sarpanch elections. According to reports, the driver of the truck did not stop the vehicle even after the accident as a result of which some passengers fell down on the road and died.
The deceased have been identified as Kanaram (25), a resident of Nimbol village in Pali district, Jodharam (28) of Saveriya village, Madan Mali (40), Ganpatlal (30), Ratanlal (30), Madan lal (45), Nainaram (40), Mohanlal (35), Dhararam (25) and Hadmanram (40), from Balunda village.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Mathuradas Mathur Hospital in Jodhpur.
