Alwar: Nine juveniles flee correction centre

Nine juvenile criminals fled the Hasan Khan Mewat Juvenile Correction Centre on Wednesday after drilling a hole in the peripheral wall. Three of them have been captured, but six are still at large.

Nine juvenile criminals fled the Hasan Khan Mewat Juvenile Correction Centre on Wednesday after drilling a hole in the peripheral wall.

Three of them have been captured, but six are still at large.

District Juvenile Officer, Bhagwan Singh told HT, “This morning (Wednesday), around 4:30 am, the children dug a hole in the bathroom wall, and nine of them got away.
Two of them were brought back here by their family members and another was caught by a home guard in the city. Six children are still missing. They have cases of dacoity, rape, loot, theft against them.”
