Angry villagers attack minister's car in Jaipur

A Rajasthan minister had narrow escape after an angry mob attacked the car in which he was travelling near here, police said today. State minister for Jail, Ram Kishore Saini, was passing through Bassi town on Dausa-Jaipur highway last night, which was blocked by angry mob following an accident that claimed two lives yesterday, police said.

A Rajasthan minister had narrow escape after an angry mob attacked the car in which he was travelling near here, police said today. State minister for Jail, Ram Kishore Saini, was passing through Bassi town on Dausa-Jaipur highway last night, which was blocked by angry mob following an accident that claimed two lives yesterday, police said.

"Unidentified persons broke windscreen and headlight of the car. The minister, however, was protected by police and taken to a safe place," they said.

"A case in this regard has been registered, and the miscreants are being hunted," they added.

The minister was heading to Jaipur from Dausa.
