The district and session court here on Tuesday allowed Bollywood star Salman Khan’s revision petition for questioning a prosecution witness in the 1998 Arms Act case. It also sent back the case to the chief judicial magistrate’s (CJM) court for fresh trial.

Salman moved the district and session court seeking permission to question then district collector Rajat Kumar Mishra, a prosecution witness, after the CJM court on March 2 rejected his plea.

Salman is facing trial in connection with poaching of protected black bucks during shooting of “Hum Saath Saath Hain” at Kankani village in October 1998. On March 10, he told the CJM court that he was innocent and being falsely implicated in the case.
