Rajasthan thrashing

A shocking video has surfaced which shows a man being brutally beaten up with sticks in a village in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district. And all because he had asked a man to return a loan he had given.

The victim, Ramesh Jat of Koshithal village, is seen pleading to be spared but to no avail.

“I had lent Rs. 30,000 to one Mitthu Lal Jat, who is a resident of Jhabarkia village in Bhilwara. Since I am in need of money at present because of some repair work being going on in my house, I had asked them to return the loan,” said Ramesh.

He said that he received a call from Laxmi, the daughter of Mitthu Lal on Wednesday asking him to come to their house and take the money.

“When I went to their house on Wednesday evening, I found Mitthu Lal and his son along with Rewada village resident Puran Gosai, Balu Ram Jat, Bhairu Dakot and Balwantpura resident Narayan Jat. As soon as I reached the spot, they started beating me with sticks. They also kept on punching and kicking me and didn’t listen to my pleas for mercy,” said Ramesh.

After the attack, an acquaintance came to help Ramesh and admitted him in the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara. It is not known who shot the video but the clip soon went viral. Ramesh’s family also complained to the police following which a case was lodged.

“We have registered a case under sections 143, 342, 308 and 379 of IPC. We are waiting for the medical report of the victim, following which we will arrest the accused,” said Karoi police station SHO Pooranmal.
