The sweeping victory of 163 seats of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the assembly elections has decimated Congress to such ranks that even new faces

in the party are daring to take on senior Congress leaders in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Taking a lead in this direction, ex-Congress member Dharmendra Purohit has dared to take on former Congress state president CP Joshi from Bhilwara

constituency. While it is not sure whether Joshi would contest from Bhilwara, Purohit has staked his claims on a BJP ticket. Purohit had joined the BJP on

September 10 last year when Narendra Modi addressed a big rally in Jaipur.
Purohit, who has yet not contested any elections, is hoping the caste card to favour him in Bhilwara where the political parties usually opt for a Brahmin

candidate. Being the vice-president of Vipra Foundation, Purohit claims strong backing of Brahmin votes.
“Joshi has not done anything for the area. I wish to serve the people and work for development of the area,” said the former Congress member. Interestingly,

Joshi was once the mentor of Purohit.
Likewise, BJP yuva morcha president Deen Dayal Kumawat is claiming ticket from Jaipur Rural constituency. Kumawat was also claiming ticket for assembly

polls from Phulera constituency, but it went to the then legislator Nirmal Kumawat.
As per insiders, Kumawat is sending feelers to party leaders that he is capable of defeating any Congress stalwart from Jaipur Rural. The claims for tickets have

also heightened up in wake of the five-day feedback program of the party to shortlist candidates.
The freshers are also enthused as chief minister Vasundhara Raje hinted that names for Lok Sabha polls would be as surprising as the selection of party

president Ashok Parnami was.
