BJP is misleading people: Ashok Gehlot

jaipur Updated: Apr 05, 2014 23:34 IST

Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot has accused the BJP of misleading the people and projecting a wrong picture of the development work done by his government in the state.

Attacking the chief minister Vasundhara Raje and BJP leadership for playing down the development work done by the previous government, he said their motive behind the false propaganda was only to grab more votes.

Gehlot was addressing a workers meeting here on Saturday at a resort. He alleged the BJP leaders had become arrogant and taking the people for granted.

“En logon ko ek jhatka diye jane ki jarurat hei. Aisa nahin hua to yeh log aur haawi ho jayenge,” (These people need a jolt, otherwise they will become more arrogant) Gehlot said.

Congress leader said there is a big gap between what they project and the reality. “They are leveling baseless and false charges against Congress leaders, and cover up their own failures,” Gehlot said.
