Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reached Ajmer on Thursday to chalk out preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on May 31.
State BJP president Ashok Parnami, public works department (PWD) minister Yunus Khan and health minister Rajendra Singh Rathore, MoS for education Vasudev Devnani and a number of BJP MLAs of the district inspected places to finalise as venue for the PM’s public rally to commemorate BJP’s two years in office at the Centre.
“The programme and the public rally venue will be finalised soon,” said Parnami. “We are here to see the arrangements for the PM’s visit and expect a public gathering of about 250,000 people,” he said.
Asked if Prime Minster would pay a visit at the shrine of Sufi Saint Khawja Moinuddin Hassan Chisty’s dargah, “It is not on the agenda at the moment,” said Parnami.
The Prime Minister is coming here to share the achievements of the two years of the NDA government at the Centre, said Parnami.
