Cold wave conditions continued in Rajasthan for the fifth consecutive day on Saturday with Churu being the coldest at 0.3 degrees Celsius.
The met office in Jaipur attributed the continued dip in the mercury to the absence of western disturbances and blowing of northerly winds across the state.
Fog and mist in some parts of the state during the early morning hours also affected vehicular traffic.
The residents in the state capital also woke up to a chilly morning with the temperature dropping to 5.5 degrees Celsius compared to nine degrees Celsius on Friday.
Churu was followed by Pilani which recorded a minimum of 1.1 degree Celsius, Sriganganagar 3.2, Bikaner 4.1, Jodhpur 7.6, Jaisalmer 7.8, Dabok eight, Ajmer 8.8 and Kota, a minimum of 11.1 degrees Celsius.
The met office has forecast a clear sky with further dip in temperatures in the next 24 hours. There is also a possibility of groundfrost in some parts of Jaipur and Bikaner regions.
