Gehlot said that Raje who has been away from Rajasthan for the last 20 days should quit owing moral responsibility of the violence.
Congress on Tuesday demanded the resignation of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in the wake of the clashes between the Gurjar community and police that left 13 dead and scores injured.
AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot made the demand along with PCC President BD Kalla. They said that Raje who has been away from Rajasthan for the last 20 days should quit owing moral responsibility of the violence.
The agitation could have been avoided if the Gurjar Action Committee office-bearers were called for talks by the BJP government, the two leaders said in separate statements.
