Congress wins 13 posts of chairmen in civic polls

Congress won 13 of the 42 seats for posts of chairmen in the civic body polls, while BJP, BSP and an independent candidate got one position each, an election official said.

Congress on Thursday won 13 of the 42 seats for posts of chairmen in the civic body polls, while BJP, BSP and an independent candidate got one position each, an election official said.

Congress candidates were elected as chairmen from Pushkar, Banswara, Chabra, Barmer, Chittorgarh, Jaisalmer, Deedwana, Mount Abu, Pindwara, Sheoganj and Sirohi Municipal Councils, and in Pali and Sikar Municipal Boards.

The BJP candidate won in Alwar Municipal Council, BSP in Rajgarh, and the independent in Mangalore.
