A local court asked police on Friday to register an FIR against leader of opposition in the state assembly Vasundhara Raje, her MP son Dushyant Singh and seven officials including five IAS officers in connection with a land grab case.
The complaint was filed by a Jaipur-based advocate Srajana Shrestha and a journalist from Sikar, Babulal, on December 7. They alleged that the wrongful allotment of 22 bighas of pasture land in Saheri village of Dholpur district in Rajasthan was made in favour of Dushyant Singh during the BJP regime in the state.
Saini argued that a case was filed in the office of the sub divisional officer (SDO) in 2005 by Singh, who claimed that due to right of inheritance of property he enjoyed the tenancy right of this land.
The SDO dismissed the claim and an appeal was filed by Singh at the Revenue Appellate Authority, Bharatpur, in 2006 which granted him the right of a tenant.
Saini said, the government ought to have appealed to the state revenue board against this decision within 15 days, but officials connived with top authorities and did not file the petition. Video
