Three people including a pregnant woman and her 10-year-old son were killed after an LPG cylinder blast triggered a house collapse at Surkand Ka Kheda village under Sarada tehsil, around 65 km from here, in the wee hours of Sunday.

Apparently, leakage in the LPG cylinder caused the blast, said the SHO of Sarada police station. Kalawati, who was pregnant, and her son Sahil, 10, died on the spot, while Premji Patel, Sahil’s grandfather and the house owner, breathed his last at the MB hospital in Udaipur in the morning, he said. The mishap occurred at 1am when the victims were sleeping at their house, he added.

The bodies were handed over to the family members after postmortem.
