A girl was on Monday crushed to death by a truck in Jaipur when she was going by a Scooty to attend coaching.
Eighteen-year-old Sakshi Bhargwa died on the spot in Mahesh Nagar area, police said.
The incident happened when Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was flagging off a mammoth students rally to mark the road safety week at a function in Japiur.
There would be no dearth of funds to protect lives on roads and traffic cops would be deployed to make public aware of road safety rules, she said.
Rally was attended by over 8,000 students and youths holding placards and posters on road safety.
In another incident last night, a woman was killed and her husband injured when a roadway bus hit their motorcycle on the Jaipur-Agra National Highway, police said.
