On Thursday, swine flu claimed the life of a woman hailing from Karauli at Sawai Man Singh Hospital here, while 66 patients were diagnosed H1N1 positive in Rajasthan, a state medical official said.

The deceased was identified as 25-years-old Seema.

Stating the decline in percentage of H1N1 positive cases, Dr O P Gupta, the director Medical and Health said that on November 5, the rate of positive cases was 70 per cent, which gradually declined to 51 per cent on November 11, and to 22 per cent on Thursday.

Awareness among people, precautionary measures, and efficient drug delivery system have proved fruitful for the state, he claimed.

Since June last, of the 2,566 people diagnosed positive in the state, 105 have died due to the dreaded viral disease so far, Gupta added.
