I would like to join politics, says Sangeeta Bijlani
Bijlani says she would definitely look forward to joining politics if given an opportunity
A former model and actress Sangeeta Bijlani Mohammad Azharuddin’s wife is pulling lots of crowd with her road shows in open jeeps in the Tonk-Sawai Madhopur seat. She is articulate and unlike her husband not at all media shy. She says she is confident her husband will win.
P Srinivasan and Abhinav spoke to Bijlani. Excerpts from the interview.
Would you join politics?
Yes, why not. I am open to the idea and would definitely look forward to it if given an opportunity.
How is Moradabad different from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur?
The region is different, the problems are different. But people of both the regions are very good and caring.
Why are you doing a roadshow alone and not with Azhar?
It is a big constituency. So we do separate canvassing also so that we can cover maximum areas.
You earlier said you will open an NGO here. What would that be about?
It would try to solve social issues of the region.
Which Azhar you like more? One in sports dress or the one in kurta pyjama, as a politician?
I like him in whites. Whether it is a test cricketer outfit or a politicos kurta pyjama.
