Ahead of the Resurgent Rajasthan investment summit, industry minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar on Friday said there is no shortage of land in the state for setting up industries.

Addressing a meeting of industrialists and officials, the minister brushed aside fears regarding land acquisition and said land for setting up industries will not be an issue as the government has a large land bank. “If someone wants to invest and set up an industry in Bikaner or any other area, there will be no problem about land and resources,” he said.

The Resurgent Rajasthan meet will be held in Jaipur next month and the government is hopeful of attracting huge investment from industries to give a fillip to development in the state.

Khimsar said the state is set to witness a solar energy revolution in the coming days and that western Rajasthan is a major destination for solar energy production.

He assured businessmen that a domestic air service would soon be launched for Bikaner.

Reviewing the progress of projects and schemes in the area, the minister focused on the development of wool and yarn industry of Bikaner.

Associations of different industries presented their demands to the minister and he assured them of prompt action.
