Denying accusation of scrapping people-friendly schemes, levelled by former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, incumbent chief minister Vasundhra Raje has said her government is not stalling such schemes but “reviewing for making them more effective and beneficial” for all the eligible people of the state.
Addressing a public rally organised in support of the party candidate Devji Patel at Sayla village in Jalore district on Tuesday, Raje said the government is reviewing the previous government’s schemes and wherever any change is required, it would be made. “They are saying we have stopped the pension scheme, but it is not true,” she added.
Raje also attacked the Congress leadership and UPA government during her half-an-hour speech. Congress leadership has degraded the status of the Prime Minister and run the Central government by a remote control, she alleged.
Raje also addressed an election rally at Krishnaganj in Sirohi district. She offered prayers at the Tanot Mata temple in Jaisalmer near the international border.
