The betting market of Rajasthan seems to be on overdrive before the onset of polls.

However, if the state’s satta bazaar predictions are anything to go by, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) might fall short of one or two seats as a contrast to their expectations in the state.

Betting market in Rajasthan is predicting that BJP will fall short of its mission of securing the state’s 25 seats by one or two seats, while equal odds have been placed for 23 to 24 seats for the party.

According to the betting market Barmer might come as a tough fight for the BJP with odds of 30 to 40 paisa, but yet it has been seen as a safe haven for BJP’s candidate Col Sonaram Choudhary to be victorious. In Barmer, the independent candidate and BJP rebel Jaswant Singh is in the fray while Harish Choudhary is Congress pick.

However, according to the market predictions Sikar might prove to be a tough bet for BJP to win with odds of 50 to 60 paisa. In Sikar PS Jat is contesting on Congress ticket, Sumedhanand Saraswati on BJP and Subhash Maharia is the Independent candidate.

“No odds are being offered for Congress as all the odds in Rajasthan are for BJP. The betting market is predicting 242 to 244 seats for BJP in the overall tally while Congress is expected to be restricted to 67 to 69 seats. The betting market is giving AAP only 3to 4 seats,” said Ajay Kumar a bookie in Laxmangarh in Sikar.

Voting for 20 seats out of the 25 in the state is set to take to place on April 17 while the fate of the remaining 5 will be decided on April 24.
