To ease rush-hour traffic, Pink City Jaipur will have a ring road, Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Mahadeo Singh Khandela said on Monday.
A private firm has been entrusted with the job of preparing a report in this regard within three months, he told a press conference in Jaipur.
The private company will be paid a sum of Rs 2.64 crore for preparing the report, Khandela said after reviewing his department's work in Rajasthan at a meeting here.
Four more road projects are likely to be awarded to the state, involving an investment of Rs 3815 crore, during the current year, the Minister said.
These are four-laning of Beawar-Pali and Pali-Pindwara sections on National Highway-14, Ringus-Sikar section on NH-11 and Deoli-Kota section on NH-12, he said.
Work on six-laning of Kishangarh-Beawar section on NH-8 and four-laning of Jaipur-Reengus section on NH-11 and Jaipur-Tonk-Deoli section on NH-12 is underway, he said.
This will provide 295-km world-class highways to the state with a total investment of Rs 1855 crore, he said.
